About Our Studio
Selective Lighting Designis a highly specialized lighting design firm with a diverse range of projects. Our company principal István Derzsi has over a decade of experience designing over 100 major projects throughout the US and around the world. Our professional staff comes from backgrounds in architecture, architectural engineering, graphic design, and computer science.
Our portfolio of projects include luxury and desitination hotels, bars and restaurants, retail and shopping malls, exhibits and convention centers, movie and performance theaters, residential and mixed-use developments.
Our scope of work ranges from interior lighting, facade lighting, landscape lighting, entertainment & effect lighting, signage consulting, and custom solutions.
Our Team
Principal, Senior Lighting Designer Istvan’s background in architecture, along with an intuitive understanding of design, have earned him the reputation of an outstanding designer. During his 12 years in the lighting design field, he has worked on over 120 projects in over a dozen countries and has won numerous awards for his outstanding work.
Drafting & Design Amanda comes from a graphic design background and has proven to be invaluable help in producing coherent design presentations. Her attention to detail helps us produce nothing but the most accurate drawings.
Principal, Accounts Manager Walt is responsible for day-to-day operations, client relations and administrative tasks. In other words, he allows for our designers to be designers. He is also a founding member of Selective Lighting.
