Lighting Design Services
The services of Selective Lighting include preparation of preliminary sketches and design reports during the Schematic and Master Planning Phase, preparation of preliminary lighting plans, details, and outline specifications for budgeting purposes during Design Development Phase, preparation of final documents and coordination with other consultants during Construction Document Phase, final coordination and focusing during Construction Administration.
While maintaining our emphasis on design, Selective Lighting has developed a substantial technical capability. We use AutoCAD for plan work, details, and three-dimensional studies and use AGi32 and DiaLUX for quantitative analysis of lighting systems.

Working closely with architects and interior designers, we prepare detailed lighting layouts to best accentuate their designs.

Using advanced lighting calculations software, photometric studies are done to ensure compliance.

Lighting layouts are accompanied by mounting details for optimal installation at the job site.

We work with over 1000 unique manufacturers to specify the most appropriate fixture for the condition and budget.

Not everyone can read an architectural drawing. Our light coverage illustrations help clients better visualize our intent.

When lighting a promonant feature such as a building facade, night-time renderings are used to convey our design ideas.

As crude as they may look, an on-site lighting mock-ups is an invaluable tool.

Sometimes the best fixture is one that doesn't exist yet. In those scenarios we work directly with manufacturers to create cost-effective one-off solutions to simplify installations.

Whether its a complex commercial dimming system, or a home automation system, we have the technical know-how to specify to the customers exact needs.

No project is finished until all lights have been properly aimed and light levels set. We program the appropriate dimming scene for each function
